The Lack of Self-Confidence ~ 3 Quick Tips to Help

Confidence in selfThe waves of uncertainty in the last couple of years have seen a rise in the lack of self-confidence, affecting more individuals across the board, in nearly all areas of life. This in turn tends to include the lowering of self-esteem. Although confidence issues often start at a young age, there are various reasons it can suddenly come on and then persists It can, however, get to the point of stopping you from doing things that you really need to get done or even want to.

>Below are 3 quick tips that may help to build your self-confidence.<

1. Mind Your Association…

Find positive, enthusiastic, and even passionate people to hang out with. Surround yourself with them and allow their confidence to brush off on you. By changing your associates and friends to a more positive few, you’ll learn how they confidently deal with things in their life that would normally throw you off course. Implementing these behaviors will help.

2. Watch Your Self-Talk…Lack of self-confidence can lead to depression

Going about your day, you may tend to be more critical of yourselves in general, both in self-thoughts and talk. Are you quick to say what you ‘can’t but dismiss what you can?’ This type of negative inner talk is self-sabotaging and hinders growth. Switching this self-talk to “how can I ~ vs ~ I can not”, when new situations arise, allow your brain to switch to thinking further ahead and ultimately find solutions.

3. Make a change…make the next step

Whether it’s a tiny change, or a complete image make-over, for some, this is all it takes to get the self-confidence juices flowing. Feeling like a ‘new’ you makes you want to live up to it. For others, it may require a career or location change. The most significant change of all to be made, however, is the one in your head. Consciously decide what you are capable of, then proceed to do it. No hesitation or relying on your emotions to make decisions for you. Change your thoughts – Change your life!
